Robert Weiss, LCSW, CAS
Robert Weiss, LCSW, CAS, is currently the clinical director of the Sexual Recovery Institute in Los Angeles. A graduate of the UCLA School of Clinical Social Work, he spent four years as an inpatient Sexual Addiction Specialist training under the direction of Patrick Carnes, Ph.D.. Mr. Weiss is an invited clinical educator for the Department of Psychiatry at Harbor-UCLA, the Society for Clinical Social Work, Pepperdine, USC and Antioch Universities, Kaiser Permanente, and numerous clinical and addiction agencies.

Mr. Weiss is a current board member and committee chair of the National Council for Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity. Recently, ABC World News Tonight, the New York Daily News, the Washington Post, and Newsweek have interviewed him for his expertise in the area of sexual addiction, and he has served as an addiction consultant to America Online. When not actively seeing patients, he can be found in various places around the United States providing lectures and training on sexual addiction to mental health agencies and corporations.

Jennifer P. Schneider, M.D., Ph.D.
The 1998 recipient of the Patrick Carnes Award for lifetime contribution to advancement of the sex addiction field, Dr. Schneider is the author of two books about the family perspective on sex addiction: Back From Betrayal: Recovering From his Affairs and, with Burt Schneider, Sex, Lies, and Forgiveness: Couples Speak on Healing From Sex Addiction. She also wrote The Wounded Healer: An Addiction-Sensitive Approach to the Sexually Exploitative Professional, co-authored with Richard Irons, M.D., and Cybersex Exposed: Simple Fantasy or Obsession, written jointly with Robert Weiss.

Dr. Schneider serves as the associate editor of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention. She has appeared on numerous television and radio shows.

Jennifer lives in Tucson, Arizona, where she practices internal medicine, addiction medicine, and chronic pain management. She received a bachelor's degree in genetics from Cornell University, a master's degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in the Dept of Human Genetics, and graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
